Director, Accounting, Controller
As the North America Gaming Controller, this individual will oversee various accounting groups in applying critical judgements and developing accounting positions for complex transactions for the Gaming business. In performing these responsibilities, the position is responsible for oversight of accounting judgements and activities performed by various accounting groups, including:
- Accounting Operations - general ledger, fixed assets, intangibles, royalties, jackpot accounting, software capitalization, lease accounting
- Accounts payable - vendor payments and accruals
Other Duties include:
- Identifying financial statements risks and managing appropriate accounting treatment
- Working with external and internal auditors supporting financial statement audits and control evaluations
- Interacting with senior-level executives of the organization including; Finance, Sales, Legal, Compliance and Corporate Accounting
- Reviewing regulatory compliance filings of accounting information
- Review and analysis of internal management reporting
- Leading corporate or local accounting project Initiatives aimed at process improvements, best practices and operational efficiency
- Invoicing and budget tracking
- Managing recruiting, development, retention, compensation and performance management for team of direct reports
- Position reports to IGT’s Senior Director, Global Gaming and Digital Controller.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; Licensed CPA
- 15+ years of combined experience in public accounting and industry
- 10+ years management experience
- Experience with analysis and interpretation of technical accounting guidance, compliance regulations and legal documents
- Understanding of U.S. audit rules and regulations
